It was a finale that AKB48 fans are less likely to forget in a hurry, and Maeda Atsuko played to the crowds in a way that only she can! Like we told you earlier, Atsuko’s graduation ceremony was to be held at the AKB48 Theater in Akihabara and to keep fans happy, a parade was also in the pipeline. Maeda is a first generation AKB48 member and has been here since the age of 14. For her graduation performance, twenty eight team members gathered and bid her farewell.
United in their dream of performing good music and that too for an audience that simply adores them, the AKB48 girls stood by their mate of seven long years; reliving the special moments in style. After her farewell speech and the customary deep bow of gratitude and thanks, the girls went livewire with the last song “Sakura no Hanabira tachi” together.
In a rare move, Maeda took the audience by surprise by making an appearance on the balcony. Since there was a crowd of people who did not get tickets for her last performance, and the announced parade being cancelled, fans stuck around in the hopes of catching a glimpse of the star performer. Well, she did not disappoint and made a surprise appearance at the balcony of the theater with a megaphone in hand and thanked all of 500+ fans for their support.
