Warner Bros revealed that the next stop for its highly anticipated Harry Potter: The Exhibition will be Tokyo at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi Hills. Fans in Japan will be able to immerse themselves in the 1,400 square meter experiential exhibition from June 22 to September 16, 2013.
Over 2 million fans worldwide have already experienced this blockbuster exhibition that has stopped in cities with major Harry Potter followings like Boston, Toronto, Seattle, Sydney, Singapore. New York got to have the exhibit twice due to popular demand. The exhibit, a collaboration between Warner Bros, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Global Experience Specialists (GES), features displays inspired by the different Hogwarts film sets. Sets like the Gryffindor common room and dormitory and classrooms for Potions and Herbology and even the Forbidden Forest come to life. Fans will also get to see the craftsmanship behind the sets, costumes, props and even the fantastic creatures from the film. A host tours them through an exhibit featuring the most famous and beloved scenes from the film series.
There are also several interactive sets where guests can toss a Quaffle ball in the Quidditch area, pull their own screaming mandrake when they enter the Herbology classroom and even get to sit on Hagrid’s giant-sized armchair inside his hut. Tickets for the sure-to-be-sold-out exhibit will be available starting March 23.
