It’s Valentine’s Day and one can expect dozens of flowers, chocolates and other sweet stuff being sold everywhere to commemorate the season. But this very unique kind of chocolate dentures made by a dentistry student will either make your heart go “aaww,” or make you feel grossed out.
Posted on the micro-blogging site Twitter by user Matsumoto, the one-of-a-kind chocolate concoction by the dentistry student can actually pass for real-life dentures, if your gums are brown that is. It looks so real that every bump and crater in the molars is highly visible. Even the grooves and impressions on the palate are so lifelike you’d want to touch it, or maybe not. Matsumoto tweeted that she’ll be bringing her chocolate creation to dentistry school to give away during the holiday. However, despite the artistic way she made it, not everyone seems to be pleased and excited. Matsumoto tweeted, “My folks don’t really like it!!! I’m bringing it to school tomorrow so everyone eat up!!!!”
Valentine’s Day tradition in Japan is different. When other countries have the men handing out flowers or sweets to the ladies and their special someone, in Japan, the ladies are the ones who prepare chocolate goodies for their male friends. However, Japanese guys nowadays would rather not receive anything, according to a recent survey. After looking at Matsumoto’s creation, i think I understand why they’d prefer not to get any gifts then.
