While performing their new single “Kiss Datte Hidarikiki” for the first time, members Matsui Jurina and Matsui Rena of the SKE48 group pulled the famous Madonna – Britney Spears Kissgate stunt and surprised the audience with an impromptu lip lock. The incident occurred onstage at a handshake event for their 9th single, ‘Aishiteraburu!’ at Pacifico Yokohama on August 12th.
Apparently towards the end of the song, Rena and Jurina found themselves unexpectedly close and just went with the flow of their feelings. The senbatsu members for “Kiss Datte Hidarikiki” were also announced and they include Oya Masana, Kizaki Yuria, Suda Akari, Ogiso Shiori, Nakanishi Yuka, Matsui Jurina, Matsui Rena,Yagami Kumi, Takayanagi Akane, Hata Sawako, Furukawa Airi, Mukaida Manatsu, Yakata Miki, Kimoto Kanon, Suga Nanako, and Matsumura Kaori.
Jurina said that song’s vibe is what got her drawn to Rena and especially when this was the first time they had a direct eye-contact onstage. The AKB48 sister group’s debut album will be released along with their new single and hopefully it will notch straight up to the Oricon single and album charts. At the event, SKE48 performed 6 songs including “Gomen ne, SUMMER” and “Aozora Kataomoi” to a packed house of 12,500 fans. The group will soon be holding their 6th generation auditions.
