New North Korea propaganda video shows President Obama in flames

A new propaganda video uploaded by North Korea‘s official website, Uriminzokkiri, on YouTube shows U.S. soldiers and President Barack Obama engulfed in flames after a nuclear blast. A previous video showing a nuclear attack on New York City was released two weeks ago.

The new video comes complete with Korean-language captions, saying that U.S. “hostility” forced them into conducting their latest nuclear test on February 12. One caption read “The North’s high-level nuclear test aimed at U.S. invaders, is the nuclear deterrent to safeguard our sovereignty.” Another caption said that the U.S. practically guided them into conducting the tests. The footage shows President Obama preparing to deliver his State of the Nation address superimposed against a background of rising flames. It ends with an animated sequence showing the detonation of a nuclear bomb in an underground bunker. The closing message is chilling: “The whole world is now watching. The U.S. must answer now”.

The latest nuclear test by North Korea, the third since 2006, was the biggest in terms of explosive field and was carried out amidst protests from the United Nations and countries like the United States, Japan and even North Korea’s only ally, China. According to Pyongyang, the latest test was a breakthrough in their efforts to make a miniature warhead that could fit on a ballistic missile.

What makes this absurd is, no one in the rest of the world will take this propaganda piece seriously, while people of North Korea have no chance to go online to an uncensored internet at all. This is is all blowing steam …
