
A 22 year old woman was stabbed to death in the Tokyo city of Mushashini in what police suspect is a case of robbery that led to homicide. Police are questioning a 17 year old Romanian teen and looking for another teenager in connection with the attack.
According to investigators, the police received a call from a passerby who found the woman face-down on the road, with suspected stab wounds. She was rushed to the hospital but was later pronounced dead. She had two knife wounds in the back and another one near her left wrist, and the position of the wounds indicate that she was stabbed from behind and had no chance to fight back. She is believed to have succumbed to her injuries due to loss of blood.
Witnesses reported that two teenagers were seen walking behind the woman and then fleeing the sin after a commotion. The Romanian teen was found in the area, and was questioned after he fled upon seeing the police. He was wearing clothes similar to the teenagers described by the witnesses and was also carrying a wallet that did not belong to him. He reportedly indicated to the police that he might have been involved in the attack. The area where the crime occurred is normally a quiet area, with the narrow street in front of a kindergarten and near the JR Kichijoji Station.
