Rejoice all you AKB48 fans, the results are in and once again Yuko Oshima is ready to take the centre stage for AKB48. In the annual vote-out that involves massive participation by AKB48 fans, Oshima ousted Atsuko Maeda and returned to the throne for the second time.
In its fourth year now, the general election for AKB48 is considered to be the largest annual event in Japanese music and entertainment industry. This year saw the clever play and integration of technology, where fans were able to use Google+ for the polling process.
Fans were seen live blogging the results through their Google+ account and the million plus voters enjoyed the spectacular event, which is at par with any political event!
